Dubai is a world-class trade corridor. How does a gender-diverse team help MOL navigate the multi-cultural complexities of the Middle East market?

In a global hub like Dubai, diversity is our strategic compass. We believe that a team rich in both gender and nationality is essential to navigating the intricate cultural and commercial nuances of the Middle East. This blend of backgrounds fosters "Cognitive Diversity," allowing us to move beyond traditional thinking and solve business puzzles from multiple angles. By bringing different perspectives to the table, we build deeper trust with our global partners and turn regional complexity into a clear competitive advantage. At MOL, we believe that different viewpoints strengthen decision-making and enhance our ability to operate effectively across borders.

How are we giving women a platform to lead the gains in regional expansion?

We believe opportunity must be defined by capability, not by gender. At MOL Middle East, all roles and advancement pathways are anchored in performance, potential, and readiness to lead. We actively encourage women to step forward across commercial, operational, and strategic mandates where impact and accountability are highest.

Leadership responsibility goes beyond equal access. It requires building structured visibility, fostering professional development, and ensuring that progression is transparent and merit based. By doing so, we strengthen both organizational performance and long-term competitiveness in a dynamic trade environment.

What are the specific opportunities for women in the specialized shipping and energy trade sectors within the GCC?

The shipping and energy sectors in the GCC present a wide spectrum of opportunities, ranging from commercial trade, chartering, and integrated logistics to energy transportation, operational excellence, and corporate leadership functions. As regional trade flows become more sophisticated and energy markets continue to evolve, the demand for diverse expertise is expanding steadily.

At MOL Middle East, these pathways are accessible to all qualified professionals, with performance, capability, and long term potential as the defining criteria. We are seeing steady growth in the participation of women across technical, commercial, and leadership roles, reflecting both the transformation of the sector and the broader economic progress of the region.

How does the "One MOL" vision translate into the diverse, international workforce we have here in the UAE?

"One MOL" represents alignment around a shared purpose, regardless of geography or cultural background. In our UAE office, this vision is translated into action through disciplined collaboration, mutual respect, and collective accountability toward common objectives.

By actively listening to diverse perspectives and integrating different experiences, we strengthen decision making and reinforce unity. This approach allows us to uphold consistent global standards while remaining responsive to regional market dynamics, ensuring that our international identity and local relevance coexist seamlessly.

Looking ahead, how do you see the "Trade Corridor" evolving into a "Talent Corridor" for women within the SAME region?

As trade expands across the region, talent mobility must expand alongside it. The SAME region holds significant growth potential, creating increasing opportunities for women to assume cross functional and cross regional responsibilities. As business corridors strengthen, so too must leadership pipelines.

While career progression is ultimately shaped by individual ambition and performance, our responsibility as an organization is to ensure that advancement pathways are transparent, structured, and firmly anchored in merit. By doing so, we aim to build not only a trade corridor, but a sustainable talent corridor for the future.
